Technical Operations Supervisor (Supply Chain & Infrastructure)

An established technology and infrastructure solutions business is seeking an experienced technical operations professional to oversee the delivery of customer-specific infrastructure and supply chain services. This role combines technical understanding with operational leadership, covering equipment configuration, rack and cabinet assembly, kitting, IP addressing, and customer-specific integration activities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, high-quality and timely execution of customer requirements.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

. Lead day-to-day execution of technical supply chain services, including rack and cabinet assembly, equipment configuration, kitting, IP addressing, and customer-specific infrastructure builds.

. Lead, coach and develop operators and technicians, ensuring work is performed safely, accurately and in accordance with required quality standards and procedures.

. Interpret technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), wiring schedules, cabinet elevations, rack layouts, and work instructions to ensure accurate execution of customer requirements.

. Plan labour, capacity, materials and resources against demand forecasts, project schedules and customer commitments to ensure operational readiness and timely delivery.

. Identify and resolve material constraints, technical issues, work order blockers and execution risks, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to maintain project momentum.

. Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Project, Warehouse, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to align priorities, clarify technical requirements and improve execution readiness.

. Maintain strong governance over safety, quality, process compliance, technical documentation and operational records across service delivery activities.

. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions to improve build quality, operational efficiency and customer service levels.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Information Technology or a related technical discipline.

. At least 5 years of experience in technical operations, deployment services, manufacturing, systems integration, data centre operations, infrastructure services or a related environment.

. Strong ability to understand technology, networking, electrical, data centre, AV, security or infrastructure products, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, wiring schedules and rack or cabinet layouts.

. Working knowledge of IP addressing and basic network infrastructure, together with an understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes.

. At least 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience, with demonstrated experience overseeing technical assembly, installation, deployment or integration activities.

. Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, work across functions and drive continuous improvement in a customer-focused environment.
