We are looking for a Technical Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and secure our enterprise network infrastructure. Roles & Responsibilities
Network Operations & Management
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure
- Manage and support routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Implement VLANs, subnetting, IP addressing, and routing protocols
Network Security
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Apply network security best practices and hardening standards
- Assist in remediation of VAPT and security audit findings
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or similar frameworks
Troubleshooting & Incident Handling
- Troubleshoot L2/L3 network issues, connectivity problems, and outages
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures
- Handle incidents as per SLA and escalation procedures
Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor network performance, bandwidth, and availability
- Optimize network traffic, routing efficiency, and uptime
- Use tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, Wireshark
Cloud & Hybrid Networking
- Support AWS / Azure / GCP networking (VPC, VNET, gateways, routing)
- Configure site-to-site and client VPNs
- Assist with hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain network diagrams, SOPs, IP schemas, and configuration backups
- Support internal and external IT/security audits
- Ensure proper change management documentation
Collaboration
- Work closely with security teams, system administrators, and developers
- Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and vendors
- Provide L2/L3 support to internal IT teams
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of OSI & TCP/IP models
- Hands-on experience with routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, RIP)
- Firewall experience: Netgate, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Sophos
- Network security concepts: VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python / Bash) is an advantage
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows networking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Relevant certifications (preferred):
- CCNA / CCNP
- Network+
- Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto PCNSE
- AWS / Azure Networking (optional)
