Technical .NET Manager

Role & responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a team of .NET developers, ensuring technical excellence and growth within the team

Assign tasks based on team members strengths and skillsets, ensuring the right mix of skills for each project.

Preferred candidate profile

Oversee the development, testing, and maintenance of .NET-based applications.

Ensure that software is developed following best practices, including coding standards, design patterns, and testing procedures.

Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.

Implement coding standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.

Review and enforce the use of best practices such as SOLID principles, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in .NET development, including ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, and related frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership position, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring software development teams.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

Skills & Knowledge:

• Expertise in .NET technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core, Web APIs, MVC, and Entity Framework.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID, TDD, DDD).
• Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Angular is a plus.
• Understanding of database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
