TheTechnical Manager Mobile PV Labwill be responsible for overseeing the operational, technical, and quality functions of a mobile photovoltaic (PV) testing laboratory. The role involves ensuring compliance with NABL accreditation requirements, managing test operations, troubleshooting advanced PV testing equipment, and delivering high-quality test analysis and reporting. The candidate must have strong technical expertise in PV module testing, laboratory quality systems, and relevant international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the NABL accreditation and assessment process for the Mobile PV Lab.
- Maintain, update, and audit all NABL documentation and records as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
- Perform detailed analysis of IV curves and Electroluminescence (EL) images of PV modules.
- Coordinate with customers during onsite testing activities and ensure smooth test execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar simulators, EL testers, and other testing equipment.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports and perform test data analysis.
- Address and resolve primary technical issues arising within the laboratory environment.
- Coordinate with equipment OEMs and ensure timely resolution of equipment-related issues.
- Ensure annual calibration of all laboratory instruments and maintain calibration certificates.
- Handle customer queries and provide technical support as required.
- Conduct Inter-Laboratory Comparison (ILC) planning and actively participate in ILCs as per NABL guidelines.
Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant field.
- 3-4 years of experience in a PV technology testing laboratory.
- Experience with NABL audits, accreditation processes, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting solar simulators, EL testers, and related PV testing equipment.
Training Requirements:
Certified 4-day training in ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Certified 2-day training in Measurement Uncertainty calculation.
Standards Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of IEC 61215-2:2016.
Deep knowledge of ISO/IEC TS 60904-13.
Deep knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Deep knowledge of IEC/ISO 60904 series standards.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of PV module technology, manufacturing processes, testing methods, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance of laboratory testing equipment.
- Experience in ILC planning and participation as per NABL guidelines.
- Proficiency in Electroluminescence testing and EL image interpretation.
- Working experience with Sun Simulators and EL inspection criteria.
- Knowledge of IV curve tracing and associated measurement techniques.
- Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis andpresentations.
