Roles & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead a product software development team of 7–15 developers for end-to-end development and deployment of software features and bug fixes.
- Mentor software developers, identify technical gaps, and build technical capability within the team.
- Involve in hiring and building a strong technical taskforce.
- Provide guidance on problem-solving, debugging, and ensuring timely delivery of team deliverables.
Product & Technical Ownership:
- Understand and learn the product domain and software to provide effective technical mentorship.
- Define functional specifications, design specifications, implementation plans, and verification strategies.
- Ensure software quality across all deliverables and maintain adherence to the software development lifecycle.
- Work in a matrix organization, interfacing with multiple stakeholders across disciplines.
Project Planning & Execution:
- Plan, track, and manage deliverables for multiple software projects.
- Support organizational initiatives and address generic technical issues.
- Communicate significant issues or developments timely to relevant stakeholders.
Technical Expertise:
- Be proficient in software development, programming, and Agile development methodologies.
- Contribute significantly in a techno-managerial capacity with hands-on coding when required.
- Work on scalable products with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS), Unix/Linux environments, and databases like MySQL.
- Work with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Redis, and DevOps tools like Jenkins. Experience in machine learning products is an added advantage.
Stakeholder Interaction:
- Collaborate effectively with end users, product teams, and application engineering teams.
- Influence stakeholders through strong communication skills and technical expertise.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Lead/management role experience with 6–10 years in software development, architecture, coding, bug fixing, and CI/CD releases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with scalable products, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern software technologies.
- Exposure to machine learning or AI-based product development is a plus.
