You are equally comfortable maintaining mission-critical systems, solving complex technical challenges, and driving modernization initiatives that prepare products for the future.

You enjoy understanding how a product works end-to-end—from customer workflows and business processes to architecture and code. You have a strong sense of accountability and are motivated by improving stability, maintainability, and engineering excellence without compromising customer commitments.

As the Technical Custodian of Tertio product, you will become the primary technical authority for one of Evolving Systems most important and successful products, ensuring its continued reliability while leading its evolution to a modern technology stack.

You are expert in domain of service provisioning and order orchestration. You are expert in older JAVA technologies such as JAVA Swing and equally have mastery of new JAVA technologies. You have worked on C++ and related technologies such as Pro*C.

You have deep understanding of workings on databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.

You have flair of DevSecOps and know how to implement the DevSecOps process and select tools for the same.

What You Will Be Doing

Product Custodianship

• Serve as the custodian of the Tertio platform.
• Develop deep expertise in Tertio's architecture, business processes, integrations, and deployment models.
• Preserve and expand institutional knowledge through documentation and knowledge-sharing practices.
• Act as the technical point of contact for product-related decisions.

Product Maintenance & Operational Excellence

• Investigate and resolve complex production and customer-reported issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain product reliability, scalability, performance, and security.

Technology Modernisation

• Define and execute the technical modernization roadmap for Tertio.
• Execute migration from legacy technologies to modern frameworks, architectures, and development practices.
• Evaluate and implement improvements in automation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and security.

Expert Developer

• Fix reported issue and bugs using your hands on JAVA expertise
• Blend expertise of C++ developer to fix reported issue and bugs
• Set up process and tools for DevSecOps
• Use your understanding of behaviour of database and inner working of Tertio to improve its performance.
• Master TCL and its inner working with Tertio.

Qualifications & Experience

• 14+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise software products.
• Proven experience working with and maintaining large legacy applications.
• Strong expertise in Java-based enterprise application development.
• Solid understanding of:
• Software Architecture Principles
• Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns
• Distributed Systems
• Database Design and Optimization
• Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with source control, build pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Expertise in data modelling and database design.
• Good understanding of RDBMS concepts and SQL optimization. POSTG
