Essential Functions of the Job
- Ensure appropriate and timely follow up of the assigned sourcing tasks - preparation, distribution, and follow up till completion
- Support cost negotiations and sample development as assigned
- Compile sourcing data, formulate spreadsheets and data analysis and consolidation
- Handle business unit administration requirements
- Coordinate sourcing efforts across all offices.
Specific Duties and Accountabilities of the Job
- Driving the Goals & objectives for the department, ensuring targets are met, driving performance improvements within the Tech Team.
- Communication of performance from the department & regular updates to the sourcing & stakeholders
- Driving excellence to improve KPI's with the suppliers; implementing initiatives to drive improvements
- Lead/Plan Technical fit meetings with BTV teams
- Providing training for Sourcing, Technical & QA teams as required
- Cross functional department representative for Technical
- Managing the Technical approval process from gold seal fitting approval to grading & pre-production before production begin
- Coordinate with cross functional teams on deliverables, systems and work protocol
- Understand and communicate product requirements of each program to Sourcing
- Samples are completed on a timely basis for appropriate milestone dates to meet objectives
- Support supervisor in management and manage Supplier performance
- Contribute to the building of the sourcing matrix and supplier alignment by product category
- Maintain and update the performance data of each supplier on a regular basis.Monitor supplier performance
- Compile relevant business reports and recaps to better understand and manage the business
- Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
Minimum Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, specifically in patterns, soles, and lasts.
- Proficiency in pattern cutting, last development, soles and sole blueprints, fit testing, constructions, and footwear for men, women, and children
- Good communication skills verbal and written- good command of English
- Proficient in Microsoft office (excel spreadsheet, word, power point). Able to work with some formulas and create data analysis
- Analytical, organize, proactive, sense of urgency
- Management skills to engage technical team & get best from them
- Able to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner.
- Good interpersonal skills, patience
- Timeline tracking and discipline
- Take ownership, flexible and able to work under pressure
- Able to identify creative alternative solutions to solve problems
- 10 years+ production knowledge
- Good skills in working with suppliers and other stakeholders on product,.
- Team players with ability to work with associates from different cultures.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Technical or Design in Footwear
