Job Title: Technical Lead – VDI (AVD & Citrix)

We at Coforge are hiring VDI Lead with the following skill-set:
We are looking for a Technical Lead with strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops to drive design, deployment, optimization, and L3 support of enterprise VDI environments. The role involves technical leadership, solution governance, and mentoring while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across global setups.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Engineering
- Architect and implement AVD environments (Host Pools, Session Hosts, FSLogix, Image Management).
- Design and manage Citrix infrastructure (Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, ADC, Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups).
- Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Manage gold images, application packaging, and baseline configurations.
- Define and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for AVD and Citrix.
2. Operations & Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for critical incidents and escalations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to:
- Login delays, FSLogix/profile failures
- Citrix policies, GPOs
- Session performance & GPU workloads
- Oversee patching, scaling plans, and environment health monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity).
- Collaborate with Network, AD, Security, and Cloud teams.
Required Technical Skills
A. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Strong expertise in:
- Host Pools, Session Hosts, Scaling Plans
- FSLogix (Profile Containers, Cloud Cache)
- ARM/Bicep automation
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
- Image management via Shared Image Gallery
B. Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
- Hands-on experience with:
- Delivery Controller, StoreFront, Studio, Director
- Citrix ADC / NetScaler (Gateway, Load Balancer)
- MCS / PVS provisioning
- Citrix Policies & WEM
- Licensing and environment hardening
C. Windows & Supporting Technologies
- Strong understanding of:
- Windows 10/11 Multi-session & Server OS
- Active Directory, GPOs, OU design
