Technical Lead

We are hiring for one of our clients base out in Kolkata who is setting up an in-house software engineering team , role and responsibilities are as under:

Founding architect for our in-house technology stack. The Tech Lead will architect and oversee the proprietary OMS/RMS build (to NSE empanelment standards), the trading terminal, the NSE eIPO platform, and the BSE Star MF distribution platform. Hands-on leadership role architecture decisions, code reviews of security and risk-critical modules, direct engagement with NSE and BSE technical teams. Reports directly to the Director.

Must-Have Skills

• 12+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in technical leadership for capital markets / financial exchange systems.
• Direct hands-on experience architecting or leading the build of an OMS or RMS in production. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
• Hands-on programming in one of: Java (Spring Boot strongly preferred for OMS), C#/.NET, or Node.js (TypeScript). Java most preferred given exchange technology ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of exchange order flow mechanics, order book semantics, trade lifecycle, and Indian exchange microstructure.
• Cryptography expertise: RSA, AES-GCM, SHA-256, digital signatures, key management. Must be able to implement and review such code, not just describe it.
• REST API design and SOAP/XML web service consumption (both required for this role).
• PostgreSQL and Redis hands-on experience. Familiarity with one message queue (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Direct prior experience with NSE, BSE, or comparable financial exchange systems anywhere in the world.
• Understanding of SEBI and exchange regulatory technology requirements: CTCL specifications, audit trail requirements, CSCRF, NSE empanelment process at a technical level.
