Job Purpose

The Technical Lead Planisware will play a critical role in delivering high-quality Planisware solutions by independently managing projects, leading a small team, and working closely with globally distributed clients. Reporting to the Practice Lead Planisware, this role combines strong technical expertise with leadership, client engagement, and project delivery ownership to ensure successful outcomes and high client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

  • Independently manage assigned Planisware projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain project plans, allocate resources, define milestones, and track deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks/issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Practice Lead Planisware to ensure alignment with overall delivery goals and client expectations.

Technical Leadership Planisware

  • Lead implementations, upgrades, and enhancements of Planisware E7, leveraging full out-of-the-box functionalities.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise in:
  • OPX2 scripting
  • Query and dashboard creation/modification
  • Workflow configuration and management
  • Support Planisware customization and integrations using Unix, SQL, Java scripting, and HTML.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with global clients to understand business needs and translate them into effective Planisware solutions.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring clear communication and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Participate in release planning ceremonies by analyzing business and technical requirements and proposing optimal solutions.

Analytics & Integrations

  • Work on integrating PPM systems with analytics platforms such as Spotfire and Power BI to enable data-driven insights and reporting.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and mentor a small technical team, providing guidance and technical direction when needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and promote best practices within the team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Planisware and project management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 6+ years of overall experience working with Planisware
  • Strong experience in implementation, support, and maintenance of Planisware Project & Portfolio Management solutions
  • Excellent proficiency in OPX2 scripting, workflows, queries, and dashboards
  • Solid understanding of Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) methodologies and best practices
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and manage teams effectively
  • Experience working with globally distributed clients and stakeholders
  • Strong ability to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Exposure to other project management tools is an added advantage
