Job Role: Tech Lead - Pega Development

Job Type: Full Time

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days per week Work From Office)

Work Location: Bangalore

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Pega techlead (CSSA) to design, build, and evolve enterprise‑grade Pega solutions. The role requires strong hands‑on development expertise, deep understanding of Pega architecture and internals, and the ability to mentor teams, influence design decisions, and work closely with business and technology stakeholders. This role is expected to promote standardization, reusability, and OOTB‑first design principles, while ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of Pega applications and may be based on-site or offshore, depending on project and client requirements, and will operate as part of a project team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Essential Technical Qualification:

  • Mandatory: Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification
  • 6–8 years of hands‑on Pega development experience with 1–2 end‑to‑end implementations
  • Experience across Pega 8.x and Pega 25.x platforms
    • Knowledge of Pega Constellation applications – OOTB UI usage, Insights, Dashboards, developer‑level debugging
    • Knowledge of Pega Customer Service (CS) framework – Interactions, Channels, Digital Messaging, Dialogs, Suggested Cases/Offers, CDH and Knowledge integration.
At least hands on experience (project experience) in one of the above - Either Pega Constellation OR Pega Customer Service framework

Core Pega skills

  • Strong understanding of case management – parent/child cases, parallel processing, locking, data propagation
  • Hands‑on experience with Flows, Screen Flows, Activities, SLAs, Tickets, OOTB flow shapes
  • Good working knowledge of Declarative Rules, Data Pages, Decision rules, Background processing
  • Experience with integrations – REST, Email, File, MQ, JMS (sync & async patterns)
  • Working knowledge of Report Definitions and Insights

Delivery & Quality

  • Experience integrating Pega with external systems and platforms
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, especially in Constellation applications
  • Familiarity with manual deployments and CI/CD / Deployment Manager
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and enhance Pega applications across Pega 8.x and Pega 25.x platforms in accordance with Pega guardrails and best practices.
  • Participate in end‑to‑end solution design and implementation, translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable Pega solutions.
  • Participate in low‑code, OOTB‑first designs, minimising customisation and promoting reuse across the enterprise.
  • Analyse functional and non‑functional requirements and produce high‑quality technical designs and rapid prototypes.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of Pega architecture, design patterns, and implementation practices.
  • Stay current with latest Pega platform features, tools, and capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to improve solution quality and delivery.
  • Advocate and drive adoption of enterprise‑wide reusable components and design standards within Pega.
  • Enable the growth of Pega Citizen Development through guidance, internal knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills when resolving complex application or design issues, working collaboratively with teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard coding, testing, and quality assurance practices.

Preferred Qualification: (Optional/Good to have)

  • Experience in any of the Pega frameworks, Underwriting, CS, CRM, CPM, BFSI, Smart Dispute, Smart Investigate, CLM-KYC.
  • PEGA System administration, PDC, PAL, PLA, JAVA, Unix, PL/SQL, DB Skills.
  • Able to assist the Senior Architect in Design and integration and estimates.
  • Able to mentor junior members in the team and help them technically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
