Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead Data Engineer to design, develop, and lead the organization's data architecture and engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure that data platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, software developers, and business stakeholders to define data standards, develop real-time and batch data integration strategies, and ensure strong data governance and quality across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement scalable data warehouse and data lake solutions using cloud technologies such as Snowflake and Google BigQuery.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
- Design and implement real-time streaming data pipelines using Apache Kafka, including topic design, producers, consumers, and stream processing.
- Build solutions for structured and unstructured data to support reporting, application and data science pipelines.
- Work with GCP cloud platform to build, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable data solutions.
- Experience working on dbt models and deploying through Github driven CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to analyse anomalies in raw data and provide reliable insights in to data behaviour.
- Develop and support reporting and analytics solutions using Google looker
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine data processes, improve system performance, and integrate new technologies as required.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices guidance to data engineering team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in designing data warehouse solutions, writing complex SQL queries, developing ETL/ELT pipelines, and building reporting solutions.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python.
- 3+ years of experience designing solutions for structured and unstructured data using cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery).
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Experience in digital advertising technologies, including ad serving, analytics, DSP, DMP, SSP, QA, targeting, and related tools.
- Strong Business Intelligence (BI) expertise, including dashboard design, data visualization, and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Experience with customer-driven design, lean startup methodologies, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with modern data pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and media content management systems.
