Technical Lead - Oracle DBA

We are looking for a highly skilled **Oracle DBA – Cloud & Automation** to join our team as an **Individual Contributor** and help build and evolve our **Oracle Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) platform**.

This role combines strong Oracle Database Administration expertise with **cloud engineering, automation, scripting, and platform development**.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical engineer who understands Oracle databases deeply and can translate DBA operations into **reliable, reusable, and automated DBaaS capabilities**.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation for an enterprise **Oracle Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) platform**.
• Build automated workflows for the complete Oracle database lifecycle, including:
• Database provisioning
• CDB/PDB creation and management
• Database configuration
• Storage provisioning
• Developing automation for Backup and recovery
• Patching and upgrades
• PDB migration and relocation
• Database cloning and refresh
• Scaling and configuration changes
• Monitoring and health checks
• Database decommissioning
  
  

Required Technical Skills

**Oracle Database**

• Strong hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Oracle Database 19c/21c or later.
• Oracle Multitenant architecture – **CDB/PDB**.
• Oracle RAC and ASM.
• RMAN backup and recovery.
• Data Guard.
• SQL and PL/SQL.
• Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Database patching and upgrades.
• Oracle Enterprise Manager or equivalent monitoring technologies.
  
  

**Cloud – Azure/OCI**

**Automation & Development**

• Strong **Python and/or Bash/Shell scripting** experience.
• Experience with **Salt Stack, Ansible, or equivalent automation frameworks**.
• Experience developing orchestration workflows.
• Git/GitHub.
  
  

**Linux**

• Strong Oracle Linux / RHEL administration experience.
• Linux troubleshooting and system administration.
• Filesystems, storage, processes, CPU, memory, and networking.
• Linux permissions and security.
