Job Description:
We're looking for an Associate Technical Lead with strong backend development expertise and experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should be skilled in Node.js, REST APIs, databases, microservices, and cloud-native development, with working experience of Angular for frontend integration.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js (Express/NestJS)
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and microservices
- Work with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases for data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Work with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases as required
- Integrate backend services with Angular-based frontend applications
- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features
- Implement unit and integration tests using Jest or similar testing frameworks
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and ensure system stability
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions with senior engineers
- Provide technical guidance and code reviews for junior developers
- Stay updated with industry trends and suggest improvements for performance and scalability
Skills Required:
- 6+years of overall software development experience with strong backend focus
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar frameworks)
- Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Practical knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies
- Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and Distributed Systems
- Working experience of Angular or modern frontend frameworks
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest or equivalent tools
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerization, monitoring, and deployments)
- Working knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
