Technical Lead - Machine Learning Platform
About Team
Myntra s Machine Learning Platform powers key business use cases such as personalization, product recommendations, and size recommendations driving enhanced customer experience and conversion.
As a Technical Lead, you will own the design and evolution of a scalable ML platform that enables teams to build, deploy, and operate machine learning systems reliably at scale. You will drive platform strategy, shape architecture, and deliver high-impact systems that support both real-time and batch ML workloads.
You will be building the foundational platform that enables machine learning across Myntra accelerating innovation, improving decision-making, and directly impacting millions of users.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable, low-latency ML platform services that power real-time and offline use cases.
- Build self-service platform capabilities that enable data scientists and engineers to develop, deploy, and monitor models independently.
- Own end-to-end ML lifecycle infrastructure including feature engineering, model training, inference, and observability.
- Drive architecture for real-time data pipelines and online inference systems with strong SLAs on latency and reliability. Define and enforce platform standards for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (including GPU utilization).
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate business problems into reusable platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and lead design reviews, raising the bar for system design and engineering excellence.
- Own the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the ML platform.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6-9 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems and ML platforms in production environments.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, distributed systems, and backend engineering.
- Experience building ML infrastructure across training and serving, including real-time inference systems.
- Hands-on experience with streaming and data processing systems (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark, or similar).
- Experience deploying and operating systems on Kubernetes, including autoscaling and resource management. Familiarity with modern ML ecosystems (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and production ML workflows.
- Experience with vector search, feature stores, or similar systems for ML applications is a plus. Proven ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and drive technical decision-making.
