Pharmacy Product Modernization

Legacy PowerBuilder Application Modern Angular & Java Quarkus Platform

Role Summary

We are seeking experienced Full Stack Developers to join a large-scale healthcare application modernization program. The successful candidate will participate in modernizing a mature enterprise pharmacy management system from PowerBuilder to a modern web architecture built using Angular, Java Quarkus, REST APIs, and SQL database.

The role requires developers who are comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and are enthusiastic about adopting Agentic AI techniques to accelerate analysis, code generation, validation, and testing.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills to understand legacy applications, perform functional and technical analysis, and modernize existing business functionality while preserving application behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

Legacy Application Analysis

• Analyze existing PowerBuilder application modules
• Understand business workflows and screen behaviour
• Analyze DataWindows, embedded SQL, stored procedures, and business logic
• Produce functional and technical analysis documents using AI-assisted tools

Application Modernization

• Modernize PowerBuilder screens into Angular applications
• Develop REST APIs using Java Quarkus
• Design reusable Angular components
• Domian Driven development / Building Modular Application
• Integrate frontend with backend services
• Ensure functional equivalence with the legacy application

Database Development

• Understand relational database models
• Work with MS SQL Server
• Analyze existing SQL, determine the validity of the DB objects, identify and recommend the equivalent advanced methods
• Optimize queries
• Understand stored procedures and database objects

API Development

• Design REST APIs
• Develop Quarkus services
• Implement authentication and authorization
• Follow OpenAPI standards
• Develop reusable service components

AI Assisted Development

Developers are expected to actively use AI tools throughout the development lifecycle.
