We are a fast-growing, bootstrapped Health tech/product startup building impactful digital platforms with a lean and driven team. Our current stack is ReactJS, Next.JS (frontend), Django, Node(backend), and we have dedicated iOS and Android developers. As we scale, we're looking for a passionate and technically sound leader to take charge of engineering execution.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Tech Lead who will lead our cross-functional development team (web + mobile), project management, and ensuring smooth delivery. You'll play a hands-on role in setting coding standards, resolving blockers, and bringing clarity and structure to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of frontend (ReactJS, NextJS), backend (Django, Node), and mobile (iOS, Android) developers.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX, QA, and leadership (CTO, CCO) to drive deliverables.
- Act as the primary technical decision-maker for day-to-day development.
- Guide developers by reviewing code, answering technical questions, and enforcing best practices.
- Translate product goals into technical requirements and timelines.
- Proactively identify blockers, tech debt, or quality issues and resolve them.
- Evaluate and recommend modern stack enhancements.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-stack development experience with:
- ReactJS and Next.js
- Node.js and Django (strong backend architecture knowledge)
- Experience managing or mentoring mobile app development teams (iOS and Android).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, state management, and scalable architectures.
- Ability to manage sprint planning, code reviews, timelines, and cross-functional communication.
- Implementing cybersecurity best practices
- Hands-on, startup-friendly mindset willing to code when needed.
Good-to-Have
- Experience with TypeScript, FastAPI.
- Familiarity with cloud deployment (Azure), Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience in a startup or bootstrap environment.
