Job Title:Technical Lead Application Testing & Support (E4 level)
Preferred Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Lead who can drive and oversee testing initiatives while actively contributing as a hands-on tester and support specialist. The role involves end-to-end application testing, SQL and API validation, ODBC-based database testing, and application support. The ideal candidate will balance leadership responsibilities with direct technical contribution, ensuring high-quality deliverables and smooth application operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute application testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
- Write and run SQL queries for backend data validation and testing.
- Perform API testing to validate system integrations.
- Work with ODBC connections to access databases and verify data accuracy.
- Actively participate in application support, troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Mentor and guide testers and business analysts while balancing hands-on testing and support responsibilities.
- Monitor and report on testing and support metrics, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing and support operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in application testing and application support, with exposure to leading small teams or testing initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, API testing, and ODBC.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex application issues.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
