Technical Lead

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will write production code every day, and you will lead by building the hardest parts yourself.

It is not a management role. There is no team to administer, no appraisal cycle, no delivery meetings in place of engineering. If you have moved away from daily coding, this role will not suit you.

• Whatever else the client needs

What you will own:

• The build. Production code every week, on the parts that matter most. Design, write, review, ship.
• Agentic systems. LLM-driven features running in production for clients. Agents, tool calling, retrieval, evaluation, and the cost and latency behind each choice.
• The technical standard. Design and code reviews for two or three engineers working alongside you.
• Delivery. Scope, estimate, sequence and commitment date. When a date is at risk you raise it before it moves.
• Technical discussions with clients. Requirements, trade-offs, and what is possible by when.

Requirements:

• 6–8 years in software engineering, hands-on throughout
• Python, with production depth
• React, and React Native for mobile
• Cloud in production on AWS, Azure or GCP, deployed and operated by you
• Production code written in the last 90 days
• An LLM or agent feature you have built and shipped to production
• Experience leading engineers technically, through reviews, standards and design decisions
• Delivery ownership: you have carried a date and answered for it
• Able to work hybrid from Bangalore

Preferred:

• Both startup and large-organisation experience
• Daily use of AI engineering tools such as Claude, Cursor or Copilot, with a clear view of where they help and where they mislead
• You follow the field closely and form views by building with new models and tooling rather than reading about them
• Salesforce
• Client-facing experience, in India or abroad
