TECHNICAL LEAD - Fortinet-Fortigate Firewalls

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as L3 escalation for complex network incidents and performance issues
• Lead major incident response and provide technical command during critical outages
• Design and implement advanced network changes and non-standard configurations
• Own architecture-level improvements and network optimization initiatives
• Perform deep root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures
• Coordinate directly with OEM/vendor TAC (Fortinet/CDW) for escalations
• Provide on-call expert support for business-critical incidents
• Develop documentation, standards, and best practices for network operations

• Support transition toward a structured managed services operating model

  Required Technical Skills:

• Expert hands-on experience with Fortinet stack:
• FortiGate Firewalls
• FortiManager
  FortiAnalyzer
  FortiSASE

Advanced routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, VPN, SD-WAN)
Enterprise firewall architecture & security design
Network performance troubleshooting and packet-level analysis
Multi-site/global WAN architecture experience
Strong knowledge of secure remote access and SASE frameworks
Ability to work on Migrations from CISCO to Forti devices.

Experience & Qualifications:

7-12+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
Proven L3 support experience in complex global environments
Prior experience handling major incidents and crisis leadership
Strong vendor management and escalation handling skills
Fortinet certifications preferred (NSE 6/7/8)
Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills
