Your Job

We are seeking a proficient and experienced Technical Leader with good leadership ability and strong technical expertise in product design. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate excellent conceptual design and engineering skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of taking on a technical leadership role to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle

Our Team

This team has global engineering ownership across several Connector Product Lines, provides Product Design and Validation Services, designs and develops Mold & Die Tooling, Gage & Fixture, Product Testing Systems and Application Tooling services to customers and stakeholders in Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division located across the globe. The Division primarily provides products and solutions that go into Datacenter and related infrastructure that powers cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. The position will be part of this engineering team at Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize Siemens NX software to conceptualize and develop new designs, 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and cross functional team members to interpret technical specifications and voice of customers, and convert them into detailed designs.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, within Teamcenter.
  • Conduct design reviews, participate in cross-functional meetings, taking the lead in providing technical insights and actions for design improvements.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and verification of parts and assemblies to ensure fit, form, and function.
  • Conduct design feasibility studies, identifying potential issues or constraints and proposing solutions to optimize designs.
  • Conduct risk assessment and come up with solutions to mitigate impact.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and production teams to address design-related issues, resolve manufacturing discrepancies, and support the development of efficient manufacturing processes.
  • As the domain leader, take on responsibility to mentor and guide junior team members in execution of projects, meeting project timelines and quality requirements

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 to 12 years in Product Design, Development & Modification, Product Validation & Testing, Sustenance & Field Application support
  • Demonstrated technical ability in taking the lead engineer role in projects and design activities
  • Ability to evaluate risk in design, come up with mitigation plans and assess solution alternatives
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components and assembly processes
  • Proficient in working with global cross functional teams, co-ordinating engineering and related activities on a project
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Experience working in Connector or related industry. Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies
  • Proficient in Siemens NX, Team Center and PLM/PDM
  • Master's/Additional qualification in Product Design/Manufacturing/Tooling engineering from reputed institutes
