About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Lead Data Engineer to build and scale our next-generation data platform powering analytics and AI-driven products. You'll lead the design of scalable data pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled data services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Architect robust data models, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms on AWS.
• Build reliable data pipelines for analytics, reporting, and AI-powered applications.
• Design and implement LLM and RAG solutions using vector databases and AI frameworks.
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to deliver business-critical features.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and data governance.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical leadership.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling.
• Experience with AWS (RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue).
• Experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving and Python coding skills.
