Data & AI CoE Setup Lead
Role Purpose
The Data & AI CoE Setup Lead will be responsible for designing, establishing, and scaling a centralized Data and AI Center of Excellence (CoE). This role will drive the organizations data and AI strategy by building capabilities, defining operating models, and enabling business units to leverage advanced analytics, AI, and data-driven decision-making at scale.
Key Responsibilities Data Architecture
- CoE Strategy & Vision
- Define the vision, scope, and strategic objectives for the Data & AI CoE
- Identify high-impact use cases across business units and functions
- Align CoE priorities with enterprise digital and technology strategy
- Operating Model & Organizational Design
- Design the CoE operating model, including centralized, federated, or hybrid structures
- Define roles, skills, and team structure (data engineering, data science, ML engineering, governance, etc.)
- Establish engagement models with business units and stakeholders
- Capability Building & Setup
- Lead the end-to-end setup of the CoE, including hiring, onboarding, and vendor partnerships
- Establish core capabilities across data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, and MLOps
- Define standards, frameworks, and reusable assets
- Data & AI Platform Enablement
- Define requirements and support implementation of scalable data and AI platforms
- Collaborate with technology teams on cloud, data architecture, and tooling decisions
- Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance practices
- Use Case Delivery & Scaling
- Prioritize and oversee delivery of AI and analytics use cases
- Establish repeatable delivery frameworks and agile ways of working
- Drive adoption and scaling of successful solutions across the organization
- Governance & Performance Management
- Define KPIs, SLAs, and success metrics for CoE performance
- Establish governance frameworks for project prioritization and execution
- Monitor value realization and continuously optimize outcomes
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Partner with senior business and technology leaders to drive adoption
- Act as a thought leader and evangelist for data-driven culture and AI adoption
- Lead change management initiatives to embed data and AI into decision-making
