Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Inside Sales Engineer to join our lighting sales team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the sales process by preparing quotations, reviewing project specifications, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and providing technical lighting solutions for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge in lighting fixtures and excellent communication and customer service skills. The position acts as a bridge between customers, suppliers, and the external sales/project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customer inquiries and provide technical support related to lighting fixtures and lighting solutions.
- Review project specifications, BOQs, drawings, and lighting schedules.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers for pricing, technical compliance, and delivery schedules.
- Suggest suitable lighting products and value-engineered alternatives based on project requirements.
- Support outdoor sales engineers and project teams with technical submittals and product selection.
- Prepare material submittals, datasheets, compliance sheets, and technical documentation.
- Stay updated with lighting technologies, market trends, and competitor products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in lighting sales, inside sales, quotations, or technical support.
- Good knowledge of indoor, outdoor, architectural, and decorative lighting products.
- Familiarity with lighting standards and specifications.
- Ability to read technical drawings and BOQs.
- Experience in preparing quotations and technical submittals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English
