Job Title: Technical Implementations Lead (Freelance)

Location: Remote

Working Hours: 25–30 hours/week (Flexible based on workload)

Time Zone: EST

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Salary: 40,000 – 50,000/month

Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years

Role Overview

The Technical Implementations Lead will actively engage with customers and collaborate with key internal teams (e.g., core development, product management, solution architecture, support) to drive improvements in the performance, scalability, durability, and security of custom solutions. In this role, you will support the professional services team and oversee technical solution delivery for a range of Smile Digital Health customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers on implementation projects involving configuration, scripting,

troubleshooting, and architectural guidance.

• Design and deliver scalable technical solutions using Smile Digital Health products and services.

• Work with technologies and standards such as HL7, FHIR, OpenID Connect, Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript,

JSON, and XML.

• Partner with internal teams including Product Management, Core Development, Solution Architecture,

and Support.

• Manage multiple priorities and support professional services delivery.

• Assist technical support teams in troubleshooting and solution development.

• Participate in on-call support rotation when required.

• Support RFI/RFP development activities for new business opportunities.

• Maintain accurate project and time tracking within NetSuite.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in Java and JavaScript development

Strong expertise in Spring, REST APIs, SQL, and Git

3+ years of experience delivering software solutions independently and within teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Ability to manage multiple high-level priorities effectively

Experience working directly with clients and cross-functional teams
