Technical Head Analytical Testing Laboratory
Location: Barasat, Kolkata
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to lead and manage operations in a multidisciplinary analytical testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across Food, Metal, Residue Analysis, and Pharmaceutical testing laboratories, along with strong exposure to NABL-accredited environments. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capability, and thorough knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the analytical testing laboratory.
- Ensure compliance with NABL (ISO/IEC 17025) standards and maintain accreditation.
- Lead QA/QC activities to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of analytical results.
- Supervise testing activities across Food, Metal, Residue Analysis, and Pharmaceutical domains.
- Provide technical leadership in method development, validation, and verification.
- Oversee residue analysis (e.g., pesticide residues, contaminants, heavy metals) using advanced analytical techniques.
- Review and approve analytical data, reports, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
- Ensure data integrity, proper documentation, and SOP compliance.
- Lead internal audits and manage NABL assessments and external audits.
- Investigate OOS (Out of Specification), deviations, and implement CAPA.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory authorities, and cross-functional teams.
- Train, mentor, and manage laboratory personnel to ensure competency and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality and laboratory efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in analytical testing laboratories.
- Proven experience in Food, Metal, Residue Analysis, and Pharmaceutical laboratories.
- Mandatory experience working in a NABL-accredited laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and GMP requirements.
- Hands-on experience in residue analysis techniques (e.g., GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS).
- Experience in method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience handling NABL audits and regulatory inspections.
