Job Purpose
Lead and oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. Ensure adherence to industry standards, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and quality in operations.
Key Accountability Areas
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager (BDM) to aid and support in preparing PQ files.
- Support the Tendering team by actively participating in tender assessments.
Leadership and Design:
- Take charge of the telecommunication team's design.
- Lead efforts in testing and commissioning for Telcom.
Customer Development:
- Focus on customer development and demonstrating capabilities in the telecommunication sector to end-users.
Project Understanding and Documentation:
- Conduct studies and developing Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure comprehensive project understanding.
- Analyzing received input data and specifications, preparing engineering documents, configurations, design drawings, software, and detailed planning in accordance with applicable specifications, codes, and standards.
Design Implementation and Analysis:
- Implement designs in alignment with contractual standards and base designs.
- Perform design requirements analysis and oversee implementation, and integration processes.
Procurement and Documentation:
- Release technical purchase orders for various items and services in accordance with established purchasing procedures.
- Generate drawings for different systems based on relevant codes and standards.
Problem Resolution and Quality Assurance:
- Proactively resolve technical problems arising during production.
- Provide clarification on design-related technical issues to Quality Control (QC) and Testing teams.
Testing and Commissioning Management:
- Take the lead in managing the testing and commissioning team for telecommunication testing, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.

- Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
- Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.
Business Process Improvements:
- Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
- Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
- Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.
