About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented team member to join our R&D team as a
Technical Documentation Writer. You will assist in preparing clear and user-friendly documentation for our upcoming
Jewelry ERP system. This role is ideal for someone who loves writing, learning about software, and explaining complex ideas in simple terms. You'll work closely with our business analysts, developers, and designers to understand how the application works and present it effectively for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating Technical Design Documents, User Guides/User Manuals, and Test Case Documents by using AI Tools for the Jewelry ERP system.
- Writing simple, clear and well-structured content to help users understand product features and workflows.
- Collaborating with senior team members to gather information about modules, forms, business processes, and system workflows.
- Preparing FAQs, tooltips, and basic walkthrough documents under guidance.
- Organizing and maintaining documentation for easy access, proper categorization, and version control.
- Updating documentation whenever software changes, enhancements, or feedback are received.
- Ensuring consistency in terminology, formatting, and writing style across all documents.
- Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, and usability before sharing with stakeholders or customers.
- Supporting internal teams and end users by providing clear documentation and reference materials.
Requirements
- Strong command over English with good writing and editing skills.
- Ability to understand and explain basic software features clearly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar documentation tools.
- Eagerness to learn technical concepts and documentation best practices.
- Interest in working with cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Completion of any certified course related to Technical Documentation or Technical Writing is preferable.
- Basic knowledge of ERP or software applications.
- Ability to create basic flowcharts or screen annotations.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts.
