Technical Director

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Director to lead the technical direction, backend architecture, and engineering execution of our online game products. This role will oversee system design, production stability, performance optimisation, and technical delivery across game development and live operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and architecture design for online game products.

• Oversee backend systems, core gameplay services, infrastructure, and server-side modules.

• Drive system scalability, performance optimisation, and production stability.

• Provide technical direction for complex engineering issues and live service incidents.

• Work closely with product, game design, production, operations, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.

• Review technical feasibility, project risks, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Improve engineering processes, documentation, deployment practices, and operational workflows.

• Mentor engineers and support the team's technical capability development.

• Evaluate suitable tools, technologies, and infrastructure to improve development efficiency and service reliability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in online game development, backend architecture, server-side programming, and technical leadership.

• Proven ability to design and support scalable backend systems for commercial games or high-concurrency products.

• Good understanding of distributed systems, databases, network programming, performance optimisation, and service reliability.

• Experience leading technical planning and engineering execution across game projects.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Good understanding of game development, launch, maintenance, and live operations.
