Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Director – Embedded & Industrial Systems to lead the architecture, engineering execution, integration, and deployment of advanced industrial technology platforms.

This leadership role requires deep expertise in:

• Embedded systems

• Industrial electronics

• Industrial IoT (IIoT)

• Edge computing

• Communication systems

• Intelligent monitoring platforms

• Hardware-software integration

The ideal candidate will drive complete technical ownership across hardware, firmware, software, testing, deployment, and system integration while mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams and shaping long-term technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & System Architecture:

• Define and drive overall system architecture for industrial and embedded technology solutions.

• Lead technical decision-making across:

  1. Embedded systems
  2. Industrial electronics
  3. Edge computing
  4. IoT infrastructure
  5. Communication systems
  6. Cloud integration
  7. Intelligent monitoring platforms

• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, reliable, maintainable, and deployment ready.

• Establish engineering standards, architecture guidelines, and technical best practices. 

  • Product & Solution Development:

• Lead development of:

  1. Embedded hardware platforms
  2. Industrial IoT devices
  3. Smart gateways
  4. Monitoring and automation systems
  5. Edge intelligence solutions

• Drive integration between:

  1. Hardware
  2. Firmware
  3. Embedded Linux/RTOS
  4. Cloud platforms
  5. Analytics systems
  6. User applications

• Oversee product lifecycle from concept to deployment and support. 

  • Engineering Team Leadership:

• Build, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams including:

  1. Hardware engineers
  2. Firmware developers
  3. Embedded software engineers
  4. QA and testing teams
  5. Deployment and field engineers

• Manage technical planning, sprint execution, architecture reviews, and engineering delivery timelines.

• Promote a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, ownership, and quality execution. 

  • Industrial Communication & System Integration:

• Lead implementation of industrial communication technologies including:

  1. RS485
  2. Modbus
  3. Ethernet
  4. LTE/4G
  5. Industrial IoT protocols
  6. Edge-to-cloud communication architectures

• Ensure seamless interoperability between field devices, gateways, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise applications.

• Guide to integration of sensors, controllers, monitoring systems, and industrial networks. 

  • Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance:

• Define testing and validation strategies for both hardware and software systems.

• Oversee:

  1. Electrical validation
  2. Protocol testing
  3. Environmental testing
  4. Calibration workflows
  5. Reliability and QA processes

• Ensure compliance, technical documentation, and deployment of readiness. 

  • Deployment & Field Operations:

• Support deployment planning, commissioning, field validation, and troubleshooting activities.

• Collaborate with field and service teams to ensure successful industrial deployments.

• Drive root-cause analysis and system-level troubleshooting in real-world environments. 

  • Innovation & Technology Strategy:

• Evaluate emerging technologies, components, and architecture.

• Define long-term engineering roadmap and technology direction.

• Identify opportunities in:

  1. Edge AI
  2. Intelligent analytics
  3. Automation
  4. Remote monitoring
  5. Predictive systems

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and system performance.

  4. Deployment-ready engineering

• Ability to independently lead complex technical programs and multidisciplinary engineering teams. 

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

• Electronics Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Embedded Systems

• Instrumentation Engineering

• Computer Engineering

• Industrial Automation or related fields. 

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in:

  1. Embedded systems
  2. Industrial electronics
  3. Industrial IoT platforms
  4. Intelligent monitoring systems
  5. Industrial automation
  6. Large-scale technology integration projects

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving end-to-end technical execution.

Preferred Experience:

• Industrial IoT and edge systems

• Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms

• Communication systems and industrial protocols

• Hardware-software integration

• QA/testing environments

• Industrial deployment and commissioning

• Intelligent monitoring and analytics systems

• Edge AI integration and scalable industrial platforms
