Technical Design Engineer – Aluminium Windows & Doors

We are a European manufacturer of high-quality aluminium windows, doors, and façade systems. Our products are custom-designed and manufactured for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
To support our growth, we are expanding our Technical Engineering Team in India. We are looking for technically minded professionals who will be trained in our products, systems, and processes. Over time, the Indian engineering team will perform the same technical design and order-processing activities as our European technical office.
Position Overview
As a Technical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical preparation of aluminium window, door, and façade projects. You will review architectural drawings, prepare technical documentation, create AutoCAD drawings, and support the engineering and order-processing workflow from project intake to production.
The role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent spatial reasoning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately with technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Prepare and modify detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for aluminium windows, doors, and façade systems.
- Translate project requirements into accurate technical and production-ready documentation.
- Support technical order processing and project preparation activities.
- Verify dimensions, configurations, and technical details.
- Prepare documentation for production, procurement, and project execution.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and production teams in Europe.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and project requirements.
- Participate in training programs to develop expertise in aluminium systems and construction detailing.
- Contribute to process optimization and standardization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
We welcome candidates with one of the following educational backgrounds:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering combined with relevant AutoCAD and technical drawing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology, Building Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Other technical engineering qualifications with a strong focus on construction and technical drafting may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of construction methods and building drawings.
- Excellent spatial visualization and technical reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Full proficiency English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with windows, doors, façades, curtain walls, glazing systems, or building envelope solutions.
- Experience in technical drafting, detailing, engineering support, or order processing. Knowledge of CNC machines or machine control systems.
- Familiarity with aluminium systems is an advantage but not required.
- Experience working with international teams is a plus.
