Technical Design Architect (Hands-on Storage & Migration)
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Design Architect with strong experience in enterprise storage, SAN/NAS environments, and large-scale migration execution.
This role is highly technical and execution-focused, requiring the candidate to actively configure, troubleshoot, and deliver storage migration projects while engaging directly with customers.
This is a mix of design & pre-sales role — candidates must also remain hands-on.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end storage and data center migration projects (planning, execution, cutover, validation)
- Perform hands-on configuration of replication technologies:
- SRDF / SnapVX (Dell EMC)
- SnapMirror / SnapVault (NetApp)
- GAD / HUR (Hitachi)
- Carry out SAN zoning (Cisco MDS / Brocade), LUN provisioning, and multipathing configuration
- Execute migration cutover activities, including rollback planning and troubleshooting
- Support DR setup, failover testing, and high availability configurations
- Diagnose and resolve storage performance and replication issues
- Engage directly with customers as a technical lead, providing solution guidance during delivery
- Work across multi-vendor storage environments (Dell EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, Pure Storage)
Mandatory Requirements (STRICT)
- 10–18 years of experience in enterprise storage environments
- Strong hands-on experience in SAN/NAS storage platforms:
- Dell EMC / NetApp / Hitachi (at least one mandatory)
- Proven experience in executing storage or data center migration projects
- Hands-on expertise in:
- SAN zoning (Cisco / Brocade)
- LUN provisioning
- Replication configuration
- Ability to clearly explain migration execution and troubleshooting scenarios
- Strong client-facing communication skills
Good to Have
- Experience with Pure Storage platforms
- Multi-vendor migration experience
- Exposure to cloud migration (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Automation / scripting (Ansible, Python, PowerShell)
Critical Note (READ BEFORE APPLYING)
This role requires hands-on technical involvement.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate actual configuration and execution experience in storage and migration projects, not just architecture design or team leadership.
