Job Summary
The SAP BODS Data Migration Specialist lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). This role moves legacy data into SAP systems using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services.
This is a mid-level position and we are looking for someone that has experience in a large multinational company.
Core Responsibilities
- ETL Development: Design and build complex BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows.
- Data Mapping: Create data migration mapping documents from legacy to SAP.
- System Extraction: Extract data from databases, flat files, and legacy ERPs.
- Data Profiling: Analyze source data quality and implement cleansing rules.
- LSMW Execution: Utilize LSMW, IDocs, and BAPIs for SAP data loading.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize BODS jobs for maximum speed and scalability.
- Defect Resolution: Fix data validation errors during mock migration cycles.
Technical Requirements
- SAP BODS: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on development experience.
- SAP Modules: Familiarity with SAP ECC or S/4HANA core modules (MM, SD, FI/CO).
- SQL Skills: Strong proficiency writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
- Data Loading: Experience using IDocs, BAPIs, and Rapid Marts.
- Database Knowledge: Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP HANA.
Soft Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to debug complex data issues.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical data structures to business users.
