About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Writer Intern to support documentation for semiconductor products, processes, and engineering workflows. This role involves working closely with various cross functional teams to create clear, accurate, and structured technical content for internal and external stakeholders. This role is designed as a learning-oriented position, where you will work under the guidance of experienced writers and engineers to understand complex concepts and contribute to structured documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in updating and maintaining existing documentation, such as:
  • Process overviews
  • SOPs
  • Internal knowledge base articles
  • Support senior writers in:
  • Formatting and structuring documents
  • Improving clarity and readability
  • Applying documentation templates and standards
  • Convert raw engineering inputs (notes, presentations, diagrams) into:
  • Draft documentation
  • Process summaries
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Create basic diagrams, flowcharts, and visuals to support documentation
  • Participate in review cycles and incorporate feedback from mentors
  • Learn and apply documentation best practices, including:
  • Version control
  • Content reuse
  • Consistency guideline

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Semiconductor / Microelectronics
  • Technical Communication or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor fundamentals
  • Ability to interpret technical data, schematics, and engineering notes
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with documentation tools:
  • DITA, Markdown, Microsoft Visio, FrameMaker, GIT
  • Basic knowledge of:
  • VLSI design flow
  • EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys)
  • Experience with diagrams and technical illustrations
  • Understanding of industry standards and compliance documentation
