Technical Consultant - D365 F&O

Join LevelShift as a D365 F&O Technical Developer, where you'll work with functional consultants, project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop and customize D365 F&O solutions, build integrations and automation, and support implementation, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As a D365 F&O Technical Developer at LevelShift, you will:

• Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions within D365 F&O.

• Design, develop, customize, document, test, deploy, and maintain D365 F&O technical solutions, extensions, forms, workflows, reports, and integrations.

• Build and enhance automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Platform, Azure services, and other Microsoft technologies to improve business process efficiency.

• Develop integrations between D365 F&O and external applications using REST APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, middleware, and other integration technologies.

• Participate in technical design discussions, solution architecture reviews, estimations, implementation planning, and code reviews.

• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, optimize system performance, and ensure adherence to development best practices and coding standards.

• Support data migration, deployments, release management, environment maintenance, testing, UAT, production support, and post-go-live activities.

• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure alignment between functional and technical solutions.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design documents, deployment guides, integration specifications, and support documentation.

• Support pre-sales activities through technical solution inputs, effort estimations, demos, proof-of-concepts, and proposal contributions.

• Provide daily status updates covering progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.

• Mentor junior developers, participate in knowledge sharing, technical training, interviews, and organizational initiatives.

• Recommend technical improvements, automation opportunities, development tools, and process enhancements to improve project and team efficiency.

• Follow information security policies, report security events or weaknesses, and participate in BCP and fire drill exercises as applicable.

• Apply AI-assisted tools for requirement analysis, code generation, test case creation, technical documentation, issue analysis, debugging, and solution recommendations.

• Leverage Microsoft Copilot, Dynamics 365 Copilot, Power Platform AI, Agents, Azure AI Services, and other cloud-based AI tools to improve development efficiency and business outcomes.

Your Skillset

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) development, customization, implementation, and support.

• Strong technical development experience using X++, .NET, and D365 F&O development frameworks.

• Experience developing and maintaining custom solutions, extensions, forms, workflows, reports, and integrations within D365 F&O.

• Strong understanding of D365 F&O architecture, development lifecycle, customization, troubleshooting, deployment, and performance optimization.

• Experience designing and implementing integrations between D365 F&O and external applications using REST APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, middleware, and related technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Power Platform, and Azure services for automation and business process improvement.

• Experience with data migration, deployments, release management, environment maintenance, production support, and issue resolution.

• Ability to participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, estimations, code reviews, and implementation planning.

• Ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions and collaborate effectively with functional consultants and business stakeholders.

• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Dynamics 365 Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, Agents, Power Platform AI, and Azure AI Services is desirable.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to recruitment, interviews, technical trainings, certifications, knowledge sharing, process improvement, information security, responsible AI adoption, and operational excellence.
