Technical Consultant, AWS Migration

We are seeking an experienced AWS Migration Engineer to lead the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in AWS services, tools, and frameworks, as well as the ability to modernize applications and design target state architectures. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in automation and scripting.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Discovery and Assessment:
• Perform detailed analysis of infrastructure and applications using AWS Migration Evaluator, Application Discovery Service, Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, and DMS
• Provide migration insights and strategy recommendations
• AWS Services Implementation:
• Design and implement solutions using EC2, VPC, RDS, EBS/EFS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Transit Gateway
• Optimize configurations for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
• Networking Setup:
• Configure secure network connectivity via AWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPN
• Troubleshoot networking issues for seamless integration
• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code:
• Use Terraform and Ansible for deployment automation
• Employ Bash, PowerShell, and Python for migration workflows and process optimization
• Application Modernisation:
• Transform legacy applications to microservices using cloud-native approaches
• Improve scalability and maintainability
• Cloud Architecture Design:
• Develop and implement scalable, secure target architectures on AWS
• Ensure best practices are followed

Qualifications

• Proven experience migrating infrastructure and applications to AWS
• Strong expertise with AWS migration tools and services
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Bash/PowerShell, and Python
• Knowledge of AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, and networking concepts
• Application modernization from monolithic to microservices architecture
• Proficiency in secure and scalable AWS architecture design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to drive customer engagement
• BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent
• AWS certifications: Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer Professional
• Experience with 3Tier, serverless applications, and containers
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile environments
