About the opportunity

We are an early-stage UK-based SaaS startup building a mobile-first compliance and care operations platform for care homes and domiciliary care providers.

We already have a complete Figma prototype and a clearly defined MVP scope.

We are now looking for a technical co-founder–level backend engineer who will own the backend system end-to-end, while I focus on front-end, compliance, and go-to-market.

This is not a traditional job.

This is a co-founder role with equity, low initial cash, and long-term ownership.

What you will own

You will have ownership and primary decision-making responsibility for backend architecture and technical direction, including:

• Backend architecture and data models

• API design and system structure

• Offline sync strategy and data integrity

• Security, audit readiness, and scalability decisions

• Backend tech stack selection and evolution

You will take the product from Figma prototype to a real, production-ready MVP.

What this role is NOT

This role carries founder-level responsibility and risk.

Compensation and equity

We are bootstrapped and cash-constrained in Year 1.
