Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a
strategic and visionaryPractice Leader, Technical Center of Excellence to join our
Technical Center of Excellence team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the organizations digital and scanning software solution delivery function, ensuring that the Center of Excellence drives innovation, quality, and scalability across all implementations. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and technical specialists to deliver value through reusable frameworks and technical best practices.
The Team: You will lead and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of software engineers, solution configurators, and technical specialists across multiple global centers.
Technical Expertise Required
- From a technical standpoint, we are looking for candidates with strong experience in document imaging and capture workflows , including scanning, OCR, classification, extraction, and document delivery. Hands-on exposure to Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platforms is important, this can include tools such as Kofax Capture / Kofax KTM, or similar platforms like ABBYY FlexiCapture or Azure Form Recognizer .
- They should also have experience with enterprise content/document management systems (ECM/DMS) and a solid understanding of end-to-end document lifecycle processing (ingestion through output). Familiarity with file transfer and integration patterns (e.g., Globalscape EFT, SFTP, APIs, or cloud storage like AWS/GCP) is expected.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Drive Strategic Leadership & Governance: Define and execute the Technical Center of Excellence vision and roadmap while establishing governance frameworks and standards for software development and the implementation of digital solutions.
- Foster Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Partner with senior business and Information Technology stakeholders to translate technical strategies into actionable plans, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point for technical decisions.
- Ensure Operational Excellence & Innovation: Oversee the delivery lifecycle of software projects from design to deployment, ensuring adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies while championing new technologies to enhance solution capabilities.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, solution engineering, or digital implementation leadership roles, with proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a global environment.
- Strong knowledge of digital and scanning technologies, software configuration, and agile delivery methodologies.
- Proven ability in strategic planning, stakeholder management, and the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business impact.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
