Education & Experience
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Nutrition, Healthcare, Wellness, Business, or related fields
- 10–20 years of relevant industry experience preferred
- Experience in wellness, hospitals, beauty, healthcare, or transformation-led service businesses preferred
Role Overview
VLCC is looking for a strategic and execution-driven Category Head – Slimming & Wellness to lead category growth, operational excellence, customer transformation, and profitability across centres.
This role requires a leader who understands both the science of wellness and the business of customer transformation — someone capable of driving category revenue, SOP adherence, technical excellence, innovation, and customer retention at scale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Category Growth & P&L Ownership
- Drive category-wise revenue, profitability, and growth targets across centres.
- Monitor key business metrics including sales, repeat business, customer retention, package utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Develop growth strategies to improve customer acquisition and lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, new services, and business expansion.
2. Technical & Operational Excellence
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, technical protocols, and operational standards across centres.
- Conduct category audits and review service quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to implement new protocols and innovations.
- Ensure consistency in customer experience and service delivery.
3. Customer Transformation & Retention
- Drive high customer satisfaction and transformation outcomes.
- Monitor escalated customer concerns and implement corrective action plans.
- Strengthen client retention and regularity programs through structured interventions.
- Improve customer engagement and long-term wellness journey outcomes.
4. Training & Capability Building
- Lead technical and operational capability-building initiatives for centre teams.
- Conduct category trainings, refresher programs, and performance interventions.
- Partner with training and R&D teams for skill-gap analysis and upskilling programs.
5. Business Analytics & Performance Reviews
- Analyze category performance through data-driven insights and reporting.
- Review centre-wise productivity, customer outcomes, conversion metrics, and profitability trends.
- Present business reviews and action plans to leadership teams.
6. Stakeholder & Team Management
- Work closely with Centre Heads, Technical Heads, Doctors, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Drive alignment between category goals and business objectives.
- Mentor and guide multi-location teams to improve execution excellence.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong background in Healthcare, Wellness, Slimming, Clinical Nutrition, Beauty, or Lifestyle services
- Experience managing P&L, category growth, and multi-location operations
- Strong operational, commercial, and customer-centric mindset
- Experience in training, SOP implementation, and service quality management preferred
- Ability to drive business growth while maintaining technical excellence
