Role Objective
The Business Analyst supports the Automation COE by bridging business objectives with technology solutions.
The role involves coordinating requirement processes, tracking delivery timelines, managing vendors who perform detailed requirement gathering/documentation, and ensuring digital solutions align with strategic goals.
The Business Analyst must understand technology enablers well enough to guide discussions, validate vendor outputs, and ensure COE standards are followed.
The role will operate in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA while having a clear understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Role Detailing (Work Areas & Responsibilities)
Requirement Management & Analysis
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to elicit highlevel requirements and ensure completeness before vendor engagement.
- Validate and review functional specifications, user stories, and documentation prepared by vendor BAs.
- Work with PMs to identify the correct technology enabler for the business problem.
- Conduct basic feasibility checks and support gap analysis.
- Maintain a structured and prioritized intake & requirement pipeline using JIRA.
Team Management and Vendor Management
- Collaborate with internal BAs when required to complete assigned tasks.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensure adherence to documentation standards, and track delivery quality.
- Support budget tracking and vendor invoicing processes.
Agile Project Support & Documentation
- Oversee documentation quality such as business cases, process flows, BRDs/FRDs provided by vendors.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Ensure requirement changes are communicated accurately to all teams.
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business units, vendors, development teams, QA, and PMs.
- Support requirement clarification sessions and ensure alignment across all parties.
- Ensure deliverables meet business and technical expectations.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual interventions.
- Suggest automation opportunities and coordinate with vendors for assessment.
Reporting & Insights
- Generate regular reports on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
- Maintain dashboards for pipeline, delivery timelines, and COE KPIs.
- Provide insights to support strategic decisionmaking.

Role Inputs & Interfaces
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 4-7 years of experience as BA in Digital Transformation, Automation Projects
- Proven experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and other Agile project management tools.
- Prior experience with Power Apps, Power Pages and RPA
