Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst who can bridge business requirements and data engineering by understanding data models, mappings, and transformation logic for a large-scale data platform. This role will work closely with engineering teams on Azure and Databricks-based pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and convert them into clear data and system requirements

• Define what data is needed, where it comes from, and how it should be structured

• Create and maintain data models (tables, fields, relationships)

• Prepare data mappings (source to target) and define transformation rules

• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure data pipelines are built as per requirements

• Validate outputs to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

• Identify gaps, dependencies, and drive alignment across teams

• Support testing (UAT/QAT) and ensure smooth delivery across releases

Required Skills

• 3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data/technology projects

• Hands-on experience in data modeling (schema design, table structures, relationships)

• Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation

• Experience working on Databricks (data analysis / validation / understanding pipelines)

• Good understanding of Azure data ecosystem, especially:

• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)

• Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Understanding of data pipelines / ETL processes

• Ability to work closely with data engineering teams

• Strong communication and documentation skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to Kafka / streaming data pipelines

• Experience with API-based data ingestion

• Experience in healthcare data (claims, member, provider)

Important Note:-

Candidates without hands-on experience in data modeling, SQL, and working on Azure/Databricks-based data platforms will not be a fit for this role.
