Role Summary:

As a Technical Associate Product Manager at HerKey, you will be responsible for owning and delivering product features that are deeply integrated with our platform's backend systems, data infrastructure, and frontend interfaces. You will work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to build scalable, high-performance systems that support millions of women advancing their careers. Your role will involve defining technical requirements, managing product roadmaps, and ensuring seamless cross-functional execution from concept to launch.

We are looking for someone who has a strong technical foundation, thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, and can translate user and business needs into scalable, technical product solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of technical featuressuch as smart search, user dashboards, session management tools, and profile management systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with backend and frontend developers, designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and launch impactful product features.
  • Technical Scoping: Translate product vision into detailed functional and technical requirements, considering edge cases, data flows, scalability, and system integrations.
  • Documentation: Write clear PRDs (Product Requirement Documents), user stories, and flow diagrams to support engineering implementation.
  • Platform Reliability & Performance: Collaborate with engineering to monitor system performance, latency, and downtime, and ensure quick resolution of platform issues.
  • Experimentation & Analytics: Define product metrics, set up A/B tests, and partner with analysts to derive actionable insights from user behavior and platform data.
  • Tool Proficiency: Use tools like Jira, Confluence, Postman, Google Sheets, and analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel) for project management and decision-making.
  • Release Management: Own the release lifecycle in coordination with QA, engineering, and DevOpsensure regression-free rollouts and smooth production deployment.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 23 years in product management with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or backend-heavy products.
  • Technical Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong understanding of APIs, system architecture, databases, and data flows.
  • Analytical Thinking: Comfortable using data and metrics to validate product decisions and performance.
  • Execution-Oriented: Strong bias for action with a proven ability to deliver on deadlines in a startup or agile environment.
  • Problem Solver: Detail-oriented, logical thinker who can break down complex problems into simple, executable solutions.
  • Clear Communicator: Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, and articulate trade-offs and decisions clearly.

Bonus (Good to Have)

  • Experience in building internal tools, content moderation systems, or user-facing features at scale.
  • Exposure to performance monitoring, logging systems, or DevOps tools.
  • Prior experience in a mission-driven organization or women-centric community platforms.
