Job Profile: The Technical Architect is responsible for designing and maintaining the technology, business, and security architecture for existing and new applications. The role ensures all IT solutions follow organizational standards, security policies, and best practices. The architect will participate in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and help guide technology decisions across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architectural Governance & Strategy
- Maintain and update enterprise architecture standards and technology roadmaps.
- Ensure all projects comply with architecture and security guidelines.
- Create technical documentation and artifacts to support ARB reviews.
2. Solution & Technology Architecture
- Review solution designs and provide technical guidance during project execution.
- Ensure solutions align with BIAL's network, cloud, and IT system standards.
- Approve technologies, frameworks, and integration methods for projects.
3. Architecture Review Board (ARB) Activities
- Review and approve architecture proposals for scalability, performance, and security.
- Conduct architecture assessments and identify risks or improvement areas.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine solutions and documentation.
4. Data & Integration Architecture
- Define enterprise data models and ensure data quality and interoperability.
- Work with analytics and governance teams to maintain secure, reliable data systems.
5. Project Management & Delivery
- Oversee architecture aspects of IT projects from planning to implementation.
- Ensure projects meet time, budget, and business requirements.
- Provide regular progress and risk updates to leadership.
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business teams, IT, and vendors to translate needs into solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Performance & Optimization
- Set KPIs for architecture reviews and post-implementation audits.
- Recommend improvements for better performance and security.
8. Innovation & Research
- Stay updated on emerging technologies (AI, IoT, Cloud, Microservices).
- Suggest new tools and practices relevant to airport and enterprise systems.
