Technical Architect – Adobe Commerce / Full Stack

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect – Adobe Commerce / Full Stack with strong expertise in Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, PHP, MySQL, and modern frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable eCommerce architectures, leading technical delivery, managing engineering teams, and collaborating with clients and business stakeholders.

The candidate should have experience with composable commerce platforms such as Commercetools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), and Shopify, along with search and CMS platforms such as Constructor.io, Bloomreach, Contentstack, and Contentful. Knowledge of cloud services, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integrations is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client and business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and lead Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 architecture and enterprise integrations.
• Lead full-stack development using PHP, MySQL, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Develop and review custom Magento modules, REST APIs, GraphQL extensions, batch jobs, and asynchronous processes.
• Optimize Magento performance, indexing, caching, database queries, and backend services.
• Design and implement integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, search platforms, and other enterprise systems.
• Manage multi-website, multi-store, multi-language, and multi-currency eCommerce implementations.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, including task allocation, code reviews, and delivery planning.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical assessments.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support.
• Drive Agile/Scrum practices, CI/CD implementation, automated testing, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall software development experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, preferably Adobe Commerce Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture, customization, and development best practices.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and TypeScript.
• Full-stack development experience, preferably with React and Next.js.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and custom Magento module development.
• Expertise in Magento indexing, caching, performance optimization, cron jobs, batch processing, and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience integrating third-party enterprise platforms, including ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and search solutions.
• Exposure to composable commerce platforms such as Commercetools, SFCC, or Shopify.
• Experience with search and CMS platforms such as Constructor.io, Bloomreach, Contentstack, or Contentful.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and event-driven architecture.
• Strong experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and automated testing.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, team management, mentoring, and delivery ownership.
• Excellent client communication, stakeholder management, and solution-design skills.

Good to Have

• Adobe Commerce certification at Professional or Expert level.
• Experience with headless commerce architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and React.
• Experience integrating Constructor.io or similar search platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud-native services, microservices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of application security, infrastructure security, and secure development practices.
