Job Description
TheSAP EWM ABAP Technical Consultantwill be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions in the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) space. This role involves working closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and project managers to design, develop, and support custom developments and enhancements in SAP EWM on S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP solutions in the SAP EWM module.
- Work on EWM-specific objects such as RF Framework, Warehouse Monitor, Queue Management, and Handling Unit Management.
- Develop and enhance interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support integration and user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in EWM processes.
- Work on performance tuning and optimization of custom developments.
- Support EWM-ECC integration and ensure seamless data flow.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies including ABAP on HANA and Fiori/UI5.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with at least 3 years in SAP EWM.
- Strong experience in EWM-specific developments including RF screens, PPF actions, ITS Mobile, and Warehouse Monitor enhancements.
- Proficiency in ABAP Objects, BADI, Enhancements, SmartForms/Adobe Forms, Label Development and Data Migration tools (BDC, LSMW).
- Experience with EWM-ECC integration and IDoc processing.
- Good understanding of EWM business processes such as inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, and physical inventory.
- Exposure to Fiori/UI5 and OData services is a plus.
- Experience with debugging and performance tuning in EWM environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
