Job Title: Technical Architect – Snowflake & SQL

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with strong expertise in Snowflake, Advanced SQL, and Cloud Data Warehousing to design and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data architecture, Snowflake platform design, SQL optimization, data modeling, and ETL/ELT integration. The role involves defining technical architecture, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, providing architectural guidance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define end-to-end technical architectures for enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions using Snowflake and advanced SQL.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data platforms.
• Define enterprise data models, including dimensional, normalized, and denormalized data models.
• Architect data ingestion, transformation, and ELT pipelines using modern data integration patterns.
• Provide technical leadership in Snowflake architecture, including database design, schema strategy, virtual warehouses, RBAC, and secure data sharing.
• Design and implement Snowflake capabilities such as Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Secure Data Sharing.
• Define SQL development standards and lead query optimization, performance tuning, and workload management.
• Establish architectural standards for data governance, security, access control, data quality, and compliance.
• Lead the design of large-scale data migration solutions from legacy and on-premise platforms to Snowflake.
• Develop strategies for Snowflake warehouse sizing, cost optimization, scalability, and performance management.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and architectural approaches to improve platform efficiency and maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, application teams, and enterprise architects to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical design assessments, code reviews, and provide recommendations on engineering best practices.
• Identify technical risks, resolve complex production issues, and lead root-cause analysis.
• Prepare architecture diagrams, high-level and low-level design documents, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Mentor technical teams and provide architectural direction throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Technical Skills

• 12+ years of experience in IT, data engineering, data warehousing, database technologies, and technical solution design.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake architecture, development, and administration.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, subqueries, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data warehouse architecture and data modeling principles.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integration solutions.
• Expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, workload optimization, and large-scale data processing.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake features, including Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Secure Data Sharing.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of data security, role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, data governance, and compliance.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployment practices.
• Ability to create architecture blueprints, technical design documents, and enterprise-level technical solutions.
