About the Role
Anoud Technologies is looking for an experienced Technical Architect – Java to lead the architecture and design of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture and solution design for enterprise applications.
- Stay actively involved in coding, debugging, and critical production issue resolution — this is a hands-on architecture role, not a purely advisory one.
- Design scalable application architecture, including High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD), using microservices, APIs, and event-driven patterns.
- Drive multi-application and third-party integrations, including APIs, payment systems, and external services.
- Lead cloud transformation initiatives, including migration from on-premise infrastructure to AWS / Azure / Kubernetes.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, availability, and security across all systems.
- Implement performance optimization strategies such as caching, asynchronous processing, and database tuning.
- Drive R&D and innovation through POCs, including areas such as:
- Chatbots / Typebots
- Document management systems
- WhatsApp and API integrations
- Explore and integrate AI / GenAI use cases into products and platforms.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions (solution architecture).
- Lead technical governance through code reviews, design reviews, and enforcement of best practices.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, and independently resolve complex technical challenges.
- Own end-to-end delivery, including CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and release stability.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and architecture improvements.
Technical Skills Required
Core Language
- Strong hands-on experience in Java
- Java 21 – basic working knowledge of newer language features (records, pattern matching, virtual threads, etc.) is expected
Frameworks
- Spring Framework – solid understanding of layered architecture and modules (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, etc.)
Architecture & Design
- Practical understanding of Microservices architecture — knowing when and where to apply it (not just theoretical knowledge)
- Experience with monolithic to microservices migration for legacy systems
Messaging & Streaming
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka and use-case identification for messaging/event-driven architecture
- Exposure to Message Queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ / ActiveMQ or similar)
Database
- Strong experience with Oracle DB as the backend database
- Understanding of DB integration with messaging queues
Caching
- Hands-on experience with Redis for caching implementation
DevOps / Tools
- Proficiency with Git for source control and branching strategies
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline setup and management
Cloud & Integrations
- Experience with cloud platforms — AWS / Azure — and containerization/orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience leading on-premise to cloud migration initiatives
- Hands-on experience with API and third-party integrations (payment gateways, external services, WhatsApp/API integrations, etc.)
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of AI (AI-assisted development tools, LLM integration basics, or applied AI/GenAI concepts) is an added advantage
- Exposure to building chatbots/typebots or document management systems
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong balance of architecture ownership + hands-on coding — comfortable owning HLD/LLD as well as writing code and fixing production issues.
- Comfortable working on POCs, R&D, and rapid prototyping to validate new ideas and technologies.
- Experience leading cloud transformation (on-premise to AWS/Azure/Kubernetes).
- Experience driving legacy modernization initiatives (monolith → microservices).
- Curious and current on AI/GenAI trends, with an interest in applying them to real products.
- A go-getter attitude — proactive, ownership-driven, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Java application development, with proven experience in technical/solution architecture.
