Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager who combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with product leadership. The ideal candidate has built and shipped production software using Java and Spring Boot, has experience designing scalable, high-throughput systems, and can translate complex technical concepts into compelling product strategies. You will own the product roadmap for core platform capabilities while working closely with distributed engineering teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

•      Define, prioritize, and own the product roadmap for FenixCommerce's core platform services, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.

•      Collaborate with engineering, data science, and design teams to deliver high-quality features on time, working across distributed and cross-functional agile squads.

•      Leverage hands-on technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Elasticsearch to evaluate architectural trade-offs, review technical designs, and guide implementation decisions.

•      Drive the design and evolution of scalable, high-availability microservices and data pipelines that process millions of delivery and shipping events daily.

•      Author detailed product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria grounded in both business value and technical feasibility.

•      Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; ensure continuous delivery cadence across distributed engineering teams spanning multiple time zones.

•      Partner with customers, sales, and customer success teams to gather feedback, validate hypotheses, and incorporate insights into the product strategy.

•      Monitor platform performance, search relevance, and system health metrics; proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or scalability concerns.

•      Champion engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and incident response processes.

•      Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in eCommerce logistics and delivery intelligence to maintain competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications

•      5+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments.

•      Proven experience designing, building, and operating scalable, distributed systems handling high-volume data and traffic.

•      Strong working knowledge of Elasticsearch (or similar search/analytics engines) including index design, query optimization, and cluster management.

•      3+ years of product management experience (or a hybrid engineering/PM role) with a track record of shipping impactful products.

•      Demonstrated success managing agile development processes (Scrum/Kanban) with distributed, remote engineering teams.

•      Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

•      Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive product decisions and measure outcomes.

•      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

•      Experience in eCommerce, logistics, shipping, or supply chain technology domains.

•      Familiarity with machine learning and AI-driven product features, particularly in demand forecasting or delivery estimation.

•      Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools.

•      Knowledge of front-end technologies and API design principles for developer-facing platform products.

•      Experience integrating with major eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce).
