About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in QA Fundamentals, Java-based Automation, and hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality across all stages of the SDLC through robust test design, execution, automation development, and defect management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Serenity / Cucumber)
- Work with an existing custom hybrid automation framework to improve test coverage and reliability.
- Execute and maintain API automation tests using Rest Assured.
- Perform backend validations using SQL queries and joins.
- Update feature files, JSON paths, and test data generated via AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
- Debug, fix, and optimize existing automation scripts rather than building frameworks from scratch.
- Participate in daily test execution, defect analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure automation suites are stable, scalable, and aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG/JUnit, and automation frameworks and good with fundamentals of Manual Testing (test design, execution, and defect lifecycle).
- Good understanding of OOPs concepts, debugging, and scripting best practices.
- Experience working with Rest Assured & Cucumber.
- Hands on experience working in SQL Queries & joins.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
