Brief Job Description:

Sr. Software Test Engineer:

• Reporting to the product Validation Engineering manager. His Daily opeations will be to conduct Device and System validation testing, helps achieve product development release project goals. The candidate will be technical interface for customer & Filed Engineering. Responsible for planning, executing, and automating system-level validation of complex software and hardware platforms. Ensures functionality, performance, and reliability through rigorous testing across multi-platform environments. Collaborates with development teams to identify defects, improve quality, and drive continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for network and platform components.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
Prepare detailed test reports, defect logs, and risk assessments.
Analyze requirements and identify testable components.
Prepare test plans and define scope, objectives, and timelines.
Design and document detailed test cases and scenarios.
Set up and validate test environments for execution.
Execute manual and automated tests to verify functionality.
Report defects clearly and track them through resolution.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression.
Perform performance, load, and stress testing as needed.
Document test results and provide status reports to stakeholders.
Suggest process improvements and stay updated with new tools and practices

Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -

Perform functional, integration, performance, and security testing for software running on multi-platform environments (Linux, Windows, virtualized systems)
Validate network configurations, connectivity, and protocol compliance (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
Conduct platform compatibility testing across hardware, virtualization layers (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud environments.
Utilize tools for packet capture and analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump) and network simulation.
Contribute to continuous integration and automation frameworks (Jenkins, Python, PowerShell).
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (manual and automated).
Hands-on experience with network protocols and troubleshooting tools.
Familiarity with platform-level testing (OS, drivers, firmware).
Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, vCenter).
Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerCLI for automation.
Understanding of performance benchmarking and scalability testing.

Qualifications:

Graduation in BE/MCA/BCA/BSC-Computers
Certifications like ..ISTQB.., ..CCNA.., or ..VMware VCP.. are a plus.
Minimum 10+ years experience as QA/ Software Testing on Network Platforms
